The Arabian Dream comes true

AMIR EL SADAT fa  {Amir el Shaklan x Kreoluka}

Purchased at four moths of age from Fairview Arabians, "Sly" as he became known, just got leggier as he got older. Finally at two years of age we decided to commence his show career. Lots of wins at local agricultural shows encouraged us to enter for the 1992 Australian Arabian Championships which were to be held in Brisbane. An Australian Championship Top Ten Award in Halter allowed us to move on to the next stage in his career ....... Performance.

Broken to saddle by top Quarterhorse and Reining personality Robby Hodgeman, Sly was soon beating Quarterhorses and Stockhorses at their own games , with wins against all comers in Western Pleasure, Working Stockhorse as well as Hacking and Dressage. The funniest show was at Lowood one year where Sly was Champion Arabian Stallion in hand and under saddle. In his ANSA Inc classes he was second and Reserve Champion to an exception Thoroughbred stallion. Finally all the ANSA Inc horses fronted up for the Performance classes, with Sly doing very well with lots of blue ribbons. The judge eventually came up to us and asked if Sly had "a bit of Arabian in him" as he was "a very nice boy"....... her face was priceles when I told her he was a Purebred Arabian!

Sly has nicked well with all our Count and Halik daughters to produce some outstanding performance horses.
